God sent his Sonne, his eternall Wisdome, the substance of his own Glory into this World, who took the nature of manhood, of the substance of a woman; to wit, of a Virgine, and that by the operation of the holy-Ghost, and so was born, The just seed of David, The Angel of the great councell of God, The very Messias promised, whom we acknowledge, and confesse, Emanuel, very God and very man, two perfect natures united and ioyned in one person. By which our Confession, we condemne the damnable and pestilent Heresies of Arrius, Martion, Eutiches, Nestorius, and such others, as either denie the Eternitie of his God-head, or the Veritie of his humane nature, or confound them, or yet divide them.
